Store Requirements
Unique SKUs for all products
All products (including variations) must have unique SKUs assigned to them in your storefront.
You must be a US seller
Google Actions is not available in any market except the US market for the time being. Many markets will roll out over time. If you are interested in Google Actions being available in your market, please contact support with your request.
Must allow returns for up to 30 days from delivery
In order to be eligible for Google Actions your storefront must accept returns up to 30 days from delivery. This information needs to be clearly described and labeled in your storefront.
Must not have restocking fees
Returns cannot cost a restocking fee. This does not include cost of return shipping for the returned item.
Must not have special shipping requirements for most items
This pertains to your shipping requirements. Any special requirements like freight, scheduled delivery, white glove service, etc. will be eligible for Actions offers.
Image Requirements
Google recommends image sizes of at least 800 x 800 pixels in height and width. For apparel products, images must be at least 250 x 250 pixels, and cannot be larger than 64 megapixels. For all other products, images must be at least 100 x 100 pixels and can't be larger than 64 megapixels.
Account Requirements
You must request to be whitelisted
To participate you must sell and fulfill products in the US market. To have your account reviewed and whitelisted, send a message to our support team. You must sell in a category supported by Shopping Actions. The following categories are not available:
- Pet Pharma
- Customizable Goods
- Vitamins, Pharmaceuticals and Supplements
- Final Sale Items
- Refurbished Goods
- Pre-Order Items
- Gifting
- Automotive
- Any category that violates PLA Policy (e.g., Alcohol, Firearms, etc.)
You must have a Google Account
The Google Shopping Actions channel relies on your Google Merchant Center and its relationship with Google Adwords. That account is connected to your Google Adwords Account to create product listing ads through campaigns. In order to advertise products in Google Shopping, you must have the following accounts live and linked to one another:
- Google Merchant Account - Shopping Feed will help you get product submitted to your Google Merchant Center and get them approved.
- Google AdWords Account - The AdWords account will be linked to your Merchant Account. To advertise any of the approved products from your Merchant Center, you must create a campaign within AdWords in order to display product ads for them.
