Walmart Inc. is an American multinational retail corporation that operates a chain of hypermarkets, discount department stores, and grocery stores in the United States.
Shoppingfeed has a native API integration with Walmart.com
Our integration with Walmart serves three main purposes:
-
Product Creation:
- This functionality enables the generation and addition of new products to your catalog on the Walmart platform. It streamlines the process of introducing and managing new items.

-
Offer Synchronization:
-
The integration guarantees a smooth synchronization with the current product offerings on Walmart. Any alterations or updates to product details, such as price and inventory, are promptly mirrored between your source platform (e.g., Shopify) and Walmart listings.
Note: Walmart has implemented a system where only approved content owners* possess the authorization to modify existing product data, e.g. titles, descriptions, etc. on the marketplace when there are multiple sellers for the same product listing.
-
-
Order Import:
- The integration facilitates the importation of orders placed on the Walmart marketplace. This ensures that orders are efficiently brought back to your CMS, such as your Shopify admin, for streamlined order management and fulfillment.

FAQ
* UPC Exemption
Shoppingfeed supports Walmart's UPC Exception and can create new listings and update existing ones in terms of inventory and pricing.
Note: Walmart does not allow modifying attributes for UPC Examed existing listings via API (items that have the value CUSTOM for product identifier), however, we created a workaround that allows us to modify your product attributes instantly.
For this, we simply need to have a UPC/GTIN that Walmart auto-generates for any UPC Examed listing. These UPCs/GTINs can be found in the Item Report in your Walmart Partners Account.
* Required tags/attributes
All required tags/attributes have been pre-mapped for you by the system in Autotag. For example: Brand, Main Image URL, Selling Price, etc.
Required attributes will have the Required tag.
* Setting up products with variations
Variant Group ID & Variant Attribute Name(s) are preinstalled by the system in Autotag.
Default mapping looks like this.
Our system will be sending the default values for Variant Attribute Name(s) such as [Color], [Size], [Color, Size] depending on how you configured attributes in the Manage Colors and Sizes tab.
Important: If you want to use a different Variation Attribute Name (e.g. Style, Pattern, etc.) for your products you will need to manually map the value for Variation Attribute Name in Autotag to override the default mapping.
* Suggested Values for some attributes in Autotag
For several additional tags/attributes, Walmart offers a specific set of options to choose from. You must choose one of the selected values. Typing your values will result in redundant errors.
Example:
Contained Battery Type attribute:
Supported/Suggested values for Contained Battery Type:
As these are some optional tags/attributes, you have two options: either leave any irrelevant attribute empty in Autotag or use one of the supported values in such cases.
* Mapping Shipping Policy(s)
Your Shipping Template(s) as well as Fulfilment Center ID(s) should be mapped in Field Mapping.
* Creation of New Listings
With the current API, it takes Shoppingfeed 3-4 consecutive Walmart channel updates until you can see a new listing created on the marketplace.
You can always use the channel's Update button to force those channel updates if you want to see new listings on the marketplace ASAP.
* 404_NOT_FOUND - No Items found for the input parameters
You may observe this error message in Error Investigator for new items: offer: 404_NOT_FOUND - No Items found for the input parameters. This means there is no existing offer for the UPC/EAN barcode we send to Walmart. It will clear away after the 4th channel update once the listing is created on the marketplace;
If not, please check if there's anything that is missing and prevents Walmart from creating a new listing, e.g. missing image, missing product name, etc.
* SKU or UPC update on existing listing
SKU override and/or ProductIdentifier override should still be completed using Walmart's template.
* LagTime update
Via API we are only allowed to send 0 or 1 according to Walmart's taxonomy.
If items are approved for 2 or more days, the LagTine update should still be completed using Walmart's template.
If your items are not approved for an extended Lagtime, you may want to Submit a Lag Time Exemption Request at https://sellerhelp.walmart.com/s/guide?article=000005986 (category-level approvals).
* Being an approved content owner typically involves a verification and approval process by Walmart. This process may include verifying your business, ensuring compliance with Walmart's policies, and confirming that you have the rightful authority to manage the content for the specified products.
