Amazon disabled its old API (SP-API v0) as of July 31, 2025. To ensure the continuity of your listings, Shoppingfeed has implemented an automatic migration process—no interruption or action is required on your part. Here's everything you need to know about this transition.
Key Dates
June 23, 2025: Start of the transmission of your current listings through the new Amazon API (SP-API v1), automatically via our “One-Click Migration” process.
July 31, 2025: Official shutdown of the old API by Amazon.
Updating Current Listings
The adaptation of your current listings is fully automated by our team to ensure compatibility with the new Amazon API. This allows you to finalise the transition to the new system at your own pace. Without any action on your part, your listings will continue to be published and updated correctly.
Automations Implemented by Shoppingfeed
The new Amazon platform has been automatically added to your Shoppingfeed account—no need to reconnect.
All of your offer settings have been carried over. This includes:
- The mapping of your offer fields to the new Amazon attributes
- The application of your search/replace rules and segmentation
- The management of inventory, pricing, orders, and tracking numbers
- The preservation of all your specific configurations
Finalising the Migration
To complete the transition to the new platform, here are a few steps to follow:
Managing Your Listings on the New Amazon Platform
- Review your configuration on the new interface.
- If everything looks good, activate the export of your listings (offer_upsert) from the “Settings” tab on the new platform.
- Then, disable stock and price exports from the old platform.
How to Create New Products with Amazonseller
From now on, all new products must be created exclusively through the new platform.
Due to changes in Amazon’s taxonomy, previous settings cannot be reused for this part.
You’ll simply need to provide the required categorisation details and mandatory product information (category, product attributes, dimensions, weight, etc.) for all new products not yet listed on Amazon.
When you’re ready, you can activate the product export (product_upsert) from the “Settings” tab on the new platform.
FAQ
1. What do I need to configure to ensure the migration of my listings?
Initially, our “One-Click Migration” process fully automates the migration of your listings to the new Amazon API. This includes the remapping of your fields, transformation rules, and segmentation settings. You don’t need to do anything.
To finalize the switch, simply enable offer exports from the Settings tab of the new Amazon platform. All your configurations have already been carried over.
2. Will there be any downtime for orders or updates during the migration?
No service interruptions are expected. We've been preparing this process for over a month.
3. How can you guarantee the quality of this migration?
Our technical teams manually verified every customer account. The migration process was tested in a pre-production environment across our entire user base. We confirmed that listings are transmitted 100% accurately both before and after migration.
4. How do I create new SKUs using the new Amazon API?
The new Amazon platform has been activated on your account, and you can now publish new products through it. You'll be able to define the categories and attributes for products that aren't yet listed on Amazon.
Refer to the setup checklist for step-by-step guidance.
5. Can I manage the migration myself?
The migration has been automatically applied to all accounts that had not yet configured the new Amazon platform.
You’re free to adjust your settings as needed afterward, but we’ve conducted extensive testing and recommend keeping the automated configurations we’ve applied.
6. I had already started configuring the new platform myself — what should I do?
In this case, your account is not eligible for automation, as it might conflict with your existing configurations. We recommend consulting our dedicated help article to correctly configure the new Amazon platform.
7. How can I tell the difference between the two platforms?
- The old platform is called “Amazon” and, for now, it only allows the transmission of offer data via the One-Click Migration process.
- The new platform is called “Amazonseller” and is fully integrated with the new SP-API system, allowing you to send both product and offer feeds.
