In Shoppingfeed, you can easily pause your exports using the Vacation Mode, which you can find on the Settings > Account page:
The purpose of this feature is to unpublish all your products across all platforms as long as the checkbox is selected (for example, when you go on vacation).
As a result:
- For platforms that update inventory (Amazon, Priceminister, eBay, LaRedoute, Fnac, Pixmania), a quantity of [ 0 ] will be sent for your products.
- For platforms that use an overwrite system (comparison sites, RDC, other marketplaces), empty feeds will be sent.
When the 'Vacation mode' is activated, all your platforms will no longer appear on your Shoppingfeed account's homepage and will be considered "inactive" during the pause period.
Pausing Listings on Selected Platforms
If you don’t want to pause all your platforms, you can manage it easily by following these steps:
- Keep the Vacation Mode deactivated.
- Go to the Rules page and create a new rule, naming it Vacation Mode.
- Select the platforms or platform types where you want the rule to apply by setting the conditions accordingly.
- Set the following action: Replace the field {quantity} (the {inventory} or {stock} field from your source feed) with [ 0 ], then save the rule.
With this setup, only the selected platforms will be affected, ensuring your products are unpublished on those specific channels during the next updates:
Important
Vacation for Price Comparison Sites
For price comparison sites, you will need to inform your contacts that your exports have been paused to ensure the removal is properly processed and that the files don’t cause errors during their processing. If they have a back office, it’s also a good idea to pause the campaign on their end for added assurance.
Disabling the Vacation Mode
To end the Vacation mode, simply uncheck the box and deactivate the rules you set up.
Your exports will automatically resume with the information from your account.
Note: While the 'Vacation mode' will clear your exports and unpublish your listings, it does not pause your subscriptions to the platforms or to Shoppingfeed itself.
