In order to ensure the best experience with Shoppingfeed and a smooth start on the platform we need to make sure that your Source Feed meets the following requirements.
General Requirements
- Shoppingfeed and most of our supported channels typically allow up to 2 variation attributes (drop-down options) on a given product (usually Color & Size).
If you have products with more than two variation attributes - please reach out to our support team so that they can find a possible workaround based on your needs. - GTIN (UPC/EAN) barcodes are required by the major channels so you need to make sure that every SKU (including variations) has a unique and valid GTIN (UPC/EAN barcode assigned). Check this article to can learn more about GTINs and where to get them from.
Your products will be rejected by the marketplace and your seller account might be flagged for policy violation if you submit products with invalid/wrong GTINs assigned.
Shopify
Product SKUs in Shopify must be absolutely unique for all products including product variants. Products with duplicate SKUs won't be imported to Shoppingfeed and won't be accepted by the channels.
At the same time, it is fine to leave the SKU field blank in Shopify - we will then use generic Shopify Product IDs as SKUs for your products.
You don't want to change or add product SKUs in Shopify after the products have been listed successfully on the channels since changing the SKUs on the existing listings is not allowed by the majority of channels and you will be prompted to re-list the product from scratch with the new SKUs assigned.
Magento & Prestashop
Product SKUs in your store must be absolutely unique for all products including product variants. Products with duplicate SKUs won't be imported to Shoppingfeed and won't be accepted by the channels.
We typically recommend exporting your product catalog and checking if there are any duplicate values in the SKU and/or other corresponding columns.
