Select products
To publish your catalog to the various platforms, you must select the products you want to publish from within Centric Shoppingfeed.
To do this, simply select products by clicking the buttons in the “Selection” tab of your Centric Shoppingfeed account.
When you select or deselect a category, a product, or a variant, the selection buttons work as follows:
When you turn a category’s button on or off, the buttons for that category, all of its products, all variants of those products, and the global button are disabled while the selection action is in progress. Once the action is complete, the buttons are enabled again.
When you turn a product’s button on or off, the buttons for that product, all of its variants, its category, and the global button are disabled while the selection action is in progress. Once the action is complete, the buttons are enabled again.
When you turn a variant’s button on or off, the buttons for that variant, its parent product, the category of its parent product, and the global button are disabled while the selection action is in progress. Once the action is complete, the buttons are enabled again.
If the selection action fails, the affected item's button turns red and returns to its original position.
Set the product category
Each product you send to the various platforms needs a category. This category determines where those products will be published.
To set your category, type a keyword in the corresponding field. Then select the platform category that best matches your department.
You can also customize the category for individual products. First, open the category using the magnifying glass icon, then click “Edit” and search for a category for that product using a keyword.
Tip:
Centric Shoppingfeed may ask you to categorize your products when you open the platform for the first time. After that, if you have already selected your categories and want to change them, simply delete the saved category and enter the one you want.
Update the platform
Once your products have been selected and your categories assigned, you can update your platform to send your feed right away. To do this, click the “Update” button in your platform’s tab in Centric Shoppingfeed.
Note:
Due to the limitations of some platforms, the feed update may not be picked up by the platform immediately.
Most price comparison sites and Product Listing Ads will query Centric Shoppingfeed to retrieve your feed, most often once a day.
