In case you have identified values in Shoppingfeed that do not match the current values on your website (name, quantity, price), likely, that an update is not being processed correctly. In most cases, this issue arises either because your source feed is outdated or because there was an error retrieving it.
To check this, log in to your Shoppingfeed account and navigate to Catalogue > Sources.
In the "History" log, you can see the status of your source feed retrieval and determine the necessary actions based on its status.
My source feed updates: Success
If the update status shows Success, this means that your source feed is being retrieved correctly, and its data is reflected in Shoppingfeed.
However, if the feed retrieval is successful but the values are still incorrect, the issue may be that your source feed itself does not contain up-to-date information.
To verify this:
- Search for your product ID in the Mapping section under Tools > Your Feed.
- Check the "Original Value" column to see the data being received from your source feed.
- If the data is incorrect, review the product details in your eCommerce back office.
- If the data is correct in your back office but incorrect in Shoppingfeed, then your source feed is not pulling the correct information and needs to be fixed.
If you are using a module, please open a support ticket and provide the following details:
- Affected Product ID
- Expected values
- Your eCommerce platform (PrestaShop, Magento, etc.)
- Back-office access for analysis
My source feed updates: Error
If the update status shows an Error, this explains why the information in your Shoppingfeed account is not being refreshed. The source feed retrieval error needs to be fixed.
Common causes of update issues:
-
Feed retrieval failure: Your feed is no longer accessible.
→ Check whether the Shoppingfeed module in your eCommerce platform or the feed file is still available and active. -
Feed opening failure: The feed exists but is unreadable due to format issues.
→ Contact your webmaster or technical team to verify its structure. If the feed comes from a PrestaShop or Magento module, please open a support ticket and provide your back-office access for an initial analysis. -
Significant category changes:
Shoppingfeed has a security feature that prevents updates if it detects a major reduction in categories (deletion or renaming). This prevents accidental loss of settings.- If these changes are intentional, log into your Shoppingfeed back office and adjust your category settings.
- If the changes seem incorrect, open a support ticket, specifying that your categories have not been modified.
-
Significant product changes:
Shoppingfeed also has a security feature that blocks updates if there is a sudden drop in the number of products (due to deletions or ID changes). This prevents unintended product removal.- If the changes are expected, you can manually force the update in Shoppingfeed using the update assistant.
- If the drop in products seems abnormal, open a support ticket for assistance.
