The Monitoring app in Shoppingfeed allows you to automatically track your competitors’ prices on Google Shopping, so you can adjust your pricing strategy more effectively.
In this article, you’ll learn how to configure and use the app step by step.
1. Accessing the Monitoring app
To find the app in your Shoppingfeed account:
Go to the Apps section Click on the Monitoring app
📌 By default, the app is activated in Demo mode, with a pre-configured product selection so you can explore its features without any setup.
2. Selecting products to monitor
Competitor analysis is based on a selection of your products, from a dedicated channel: offers-monitoring.
Steps to select your products:
Go to the Platforms section Search and open the offers-monitoring platform Select your products as usual: full catalog, by category, or by SKU You can also apply your usual rules and segmentations
📌 The fields used in this platform include: id, name, ean, description, price, shipping cost, stock, brand, image_url, asin, original price, category.
Once your products are selected, the app will automatically look for matching listings on Google Shopping and identify related competitor offers.
3. Configuring the app
Product matching
The app tries to match your products with those on Google Shopping using data from the offers-monitoring feed. There may not always be a direct EAN match. In that case, you can use the matching tool to manually select the correct product.
